1、 Relief valve

It is a hydraulic pressure control valve that mainly functions as a constant pressure overflow, pressure stabilization, system unloading, and safety protection in hydraulic equipment. During assembly or use, the overflow valve may experience unexpected leakage due to damage to the O-ring or combination sealing ring, or loose installation screws or pipe joints.

If the cone valve or main valve core is excessively worn or the sealing surface is in poor contact, it will also cause excessive internal leakage and even affect normal operation

2、 Main functions:

1. Constant pressure overflow function: In the throttling and regulating system of the quantitative pump, the quantitative pump provides a constant flow rate. When the system pressure increases, it will reduce the flow demand. At this point, the overflow valve opens, causing excess flow to overflow back into the oil tank, ensuring that the inlet pressure of the overflow valve, i.e. the pump outlet pressure, remains constant (the valve port often opens with pressure fluctuations).

2. Pressure stabilizing effect: The overflow valve is connected in series on the return oil circuit, generating back pressure and increasing the stability of the moving parts.

3. System unloading function: Connect a small flow solenoid valve in series to the remote control port of the overflow valve. When the solenoid iron is energized, the remote control port of the overflow valve is connected to the oil tank, and the hydraulic pump is unloaded at this time. The overflow valve is now used as a unloading valve.

4. Safety protection function: When the system is working normally, the valve is closed. Only when the load exceeds the specified limit (the system pressure exceeds the set pressure), can the overflow be opened for overload protection to prevent the system pressure from increasing (usually the set pressure of the overflow valve is 10% to 20% higher than the maximum working pressure of the system).

5. In practical applications, it is generally used as a unloading valve, a remote pressure regulating valve, a high and low pressure multi-stage control valve, a sequence valve, and used to generate back pressure (connected to the return oil circuit).

3、 There are generally two types of structures for relief valves: 1. Direct acting relief valves. 2. Pilot operated relief valve.
